The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join us for an unannounced high-profile new streaming series. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role, guiding both the project and the production team toward successful delivery. In this role, you are not just updating spreadsheets; you are the operational conductor keeping the production orchestra in sync and mentoring the next generation of production talent.

In this role, success looks like:

Schedule Management & Operation Execution: 

• Manage and maintain the production schedule, integrating departmental timelines to ensure all deliverables remain on track.
• Proactively monitor progress against schedule milestones, identify potential scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks, and flag risks to the Line Producer with actionable solutions.
• Track deliverables across multiple episodes, ensuring on-time completion and adherence to client requirements.
• Oversee precise project tracking and reporting, providing clear, data-driven updates to Line Producer as needed.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: 

• Lead and support a team of Production Supervisors, Coordinators, and Assistants. Provide clarity, foster accountability, manage performance and actively support their professional growth through training and mentorship. 
• Handle attendance management and participate in crew planning and overtime management in collaboration with the Line Producer to ensure optimal resource allocation.
• Ensure Production Coordinators maintain proficiency with essential tools and workflows, empowering them to handle daily tasks with confidence and skill.

Client & Creative Partnership

• Be a key liaison for the client's Production Manager and Coordinators to ensure smooth communication, clear expectations, and seamless deliveries.
• Partner closely with Line Producer and Creative leadership to resolve competing priorities and communicate priorities across the teams, ensuring the team is always focused on what matters most for the creative scope.

Operational Integrity & Risk Management

• Ensure all production breakdowns are accurate and reflect the current creative direction, and are communicated across all departments
• Identify and flag workflow flaws and strategize to improve workflow efficiency in collaboration with Line Producer and CG Supervisor. 
• Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure deliverables meet technical specifications and deadlines, when needed. 

The Requirements

Must-Haves: 

• Experience: You bring 5+ years of production experience on large-scale animation projects, with at least 2+ years specifically in a Production Manager (or equivalent senior production leadership) role.
• Mentorship: Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring production teams.
• Technical Pipeline: Thorough knowledge of CG animation pipelines and workflows, with advanced scheduling expertise.
• Tools: Mastery of database/project tracking systems is essential. Proficiency with ShotGrid (formerly Shotgun) is required from day one.
• Leadership Style: A calm, solutions-focused leadership style, with excellent organizational and conflict-resolution skills.
• Eligible to work in British Columbia, Canada.

Nice-to-Haves: 

• Senior production experience on high-profile animation projects.
• Experience with 2D animation processes.
• Advanced mastery of Google Workspace and MS Excel.
