The Opportunity:

Stellar Creative Lab is looking for a Systems Integrator to architect the technical infrastructure that powers our creative edge. In this role, you won’t just maintain systems; you will build the automated bridges between our high-performance infrastructure (Linux/Windows, Arista Networking, Storage) and our creative pipelines. You are the "glue" that ensures our artists can create without technical friction.

Key Accountabilities (What You Will Own):

 Infrastructure Architecture & Automation

• Design and implement automated workflows to bridge RedHat/CentOS Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Utilize Puppet and Ansible to ensure consistency across local and remote deployments ("Infrastructure as Code").
• Architect the "handshake" scripts (Python) between software and hardware platforms to eliminate manual data entry.

Cloud & Storage Operations

• Manage the seamless flow of data between on-prem storage (NAS/Linux Filers) and Cloud services (AWS/GCP) for backups and burst rendering.
• Oversee virtualization strategies (VMWare/Docker) to create portable, efficient environments for the Pipeline team.

System Reliability & Monitoring

• Consolidate system metrics into unified dashboards (Grafana/Prometheus) to provide proactive alerts for the tech and production teams.
• Troubleshoot L1-L3 networking issues to ensure high-speed data movement without bottlenecking creative throughput.

Security & Standardization

• Implement and monitor security protocols across virtualization, network, and storage layers.
• Manage PC setup and deployment automation to ensure new hires are integrated instantly.
• Document all integration workflows to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.

The Requirements

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Integration.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for automation.
• Expert knowledge of Puppet or Ansible for large-scale synchronization.
• Deep understanding of Layer 1–3 networking.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2) integration.
• Previous experience in VFX, Animation, or Render Farms.
• Experience with high-performance Linux filers.

Logistics & Physical Requirements:

• Hardware Handling: This is a hands-on role. You must be able to safely lift and rack server nodes (approx. 50 lbs) in our data center.
• Travel: Periodic travel to our co-location facility is required. As this site is not transit-accessible, you must have a valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
